My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fernie is a fun little gal who spent two months in a foster home- here’s what we learned:

- She is very quiet and mellow
- She’s a couch potato who loves affection
- She loves sleeping on the couch
- She is housetrained and great on car rides
- She is food motivated and knows basic commands like sit
- She was described by her foster as an excellent houseguest

During another brief foster stay Fernie was a quiet houseguest who was friendly with people and loved getting belly rubs.

Fernie is also a field trip favorite- a favorite buddy for members of the community to pick up and take out on the town! She’s been described by some of her friends as loving, patient, joyful, easygoing, cuddly and affectionate.

“Fernie is an amazing dog that was very go-with-the-flow on our trip today. She was curious, non-reactive to other dogs and stimuli, food motivated, and quick to relax in the car. She loves all the pets.”

“Fernie has the best temperament and loves to cuddle. She loves walks and toys. Fernie is very smart and knows the way to your heart.”

Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter said:

“Fernie is a friendly sweet little girl. She was easy to leash up in her kennel and walk over to the play yard. Once in the yard she explored for a little bit and then came over to me for love and treats. She climbed up into my lap and gave me a couple kisses before returning to explore the yard. She’s a nice balance of independent and people oriented. She would alternately explore the yard and then come over to me for snuggles. She has the most stinking adorable face!!”

Fernie shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit and may prefer a home without young kiddos. Ask to meet Fernie today!
