Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is AUDELIA. I am almost 4 years old, and I weigh 94 lbs. I came to the shelter as a stray, and because of my past, I can be very wary around new people. I am what you might call a “stranger danger” kind of girl. I need time, patience, and gentle encouragement to feel safe and come out of my shell. But once I trust you, I will be your loyal, silly sidekick for life! I absolutely adore my lady friends here at the shelter who have taken the time to understand me. They have shown me what kindness looks like, and I keep learning every day. I am food-motivated and eager to learn, so with the right person and tasty treats I am a quick learner. I have so much potential! I like things a certain way—no kids, no cats, and I am very picky about my doggy friends. Honestly, I would prefer to be the only fur-royalty in your home. I enjoy peace, quiet, and a predictable routine where I can feel secure. If you are a patient, dog-savvy human looking for a one-of-a-kind companion, I just might be your girl. Can you give me the time and space I need to learn to trust?
