This handsome guy was found as a stray in early March, and it didn’t take long for him to start winning hearts. Moose is the kind of dog who makes you smile without trying — curious, friendly, and genuinely happy just to be near people. He’s dog-friendly, lights up for attention, and sports the cutest floppy ears paired with a big, goofy grin. At around 40 lbs and 2–3 years old, he’s the perfect mid-size companion.
The scars around Moose’s neck tell a story of a past where freedom was limited, and love likely was too. Because of that, he could use a patient, understanding adopter who can help him build confidence and polish his basic obedience skills. The good news? Moose wants to learn. He’s eager to please, highly treat-motivated, and ready to form a deep bond with someone who shows him consistency and kindness.
Shelter life has been especially hard on Moose. Too much alone time has left him pacing in his kennel and even losing weight — a clear sign that he’s craving connection, stability, and a place where he can finally exhale.
Moose doesn’t need perfection. He needs a chance. A couch to rest on. A person to trust. A home where he can feel safe and loved for the first time.
If you’re ready to change a life — and have yours changed in return — Moose is waiting.
