Brielle originally came to us back in 2021, was shortly thereafter adopted and was returned just recently after her pet parent was experiencing some unexpected life changes. She is now 5 years old and just as sweet as ever. Her foster mom has shared that Brielle's favorite things are "long naps, rubbing on her people's legs and cuddles".
Brielle has feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), but is very cat friendly. It is absolutely acceptable for FIV+ cats and FIV- cats to coexist as long as the cats get along, which is the case with this very affectionate girl and her foster sister (another RBARI alum!). It was also more recently discovered that Brielle has asthma. Though this is very easily managed with a twice daily inhaler for which Brielle is very accepting of.
Our very, very sweet and docile girl is so very loved by her foster family, who have been caring for her since March of this year. However, she is still very much in need of a home to call her own. If you're looking to make your family unit just a little bit bigger, Brielle would truly be the perfect addition.

More about this shelter
Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. is founded on the belief that all animals have a natural right to humane treatment including proper care and safe shelter. Due to overpopulation, there are insufficient homes for most cats and dogs. Some are lucky enough to find temporary shelter and a few even find permanent homes. However it is a devastating fact that the majority are either euthanized or forced to chance life without shelter.
To support our belief and to relieve the unnecessary suffering of animals, we shall:
1.Extend every effort to find, evaluate, and secure good adoptive homes for animals in our care.
2.Provide animals with medical services and behavior therapy to the extent of our ability.
3.Adhere to a “no-kill” policy: animals shall not be euthanized for the purpose of providing space for new animals.
4.Adhere to a 100% spay and neuter policy.
5.Maintain continuing humane education programs and in particular to schools.
