Hi, I’m Diego — a sleek, black, ridiculously handsome gentleman of a cat. My humans tell me I’m beautiful, and honestly… they’re not wrong.

I came from a crowded hoarding home, so I’m still learning what it means to be safe and loved. Loud noises used to make me jump, and new people were a little scary, but every day I’m discovering that gentle hands, soft beds, and warm laps are actually pretty wonderful things.

I love just being warm and safe — quietly hanging out in the same room, supervising whatever the humans aredoing, or curling up close by. I’m not demanding; I just like knowing I belong. Every day my confidence grows a little more, and I’m hoping to find my forever home

I’m Diego, and I would love you to take a chance on me! Please meet me soon. I would love to be in a home for Christmas.

Submit Application

Whether you're interested in a specific pet or not, fill out our application online at houstonpetsalive.org.

2.
Meet the Pet

Once your application is approved, a meet and greet will be set up between you and your pet of interest.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If the meet and greet goes well and your adoption application is approved, you will sign the adoption contract.

4.
Pay Fee

Once the adoption contract is signed, you will pay the adoption fee.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Bring your new best friend home! Remember that it will take some time for him/her to adjust to their new environment.
