My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please read ALL of this listing prior to asking questions. If you are interested in Lilly and feel that you would be a good match for her, you must first fill out an application here (please copy and paste the link): https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ After we receive your application we will contact you... thank you!

Lilly is an adorable little Terrier mix who came to us from Animal Control. She's a young girl, probably around 2-years-old. She seems to get along with most everyone she meets, although at first she is a bit shy until she gets to know them.

Lilly is well housetrained, and currently sleeps in a crate at her foster home. We feel she would love to be invited to join her new parents in 'the big bed'. Lilly is used to having a fenced yard at her foster home where she loves to run around chasing squirrels and finding sticks on which to chew. We feel that it would be ideal for her to have a fenced yard in her new home.

Lilly gets along well with the other small dogs in her foster home and loves wrestling and playing 'tug-of-war' with them. She will also keep herself entertained with a couple of squeaky toys.

We are looking for a family for Lilly where she will have companionship during the day, and will not be left at home alone while the family is at work. Either someone who works from home or a young and active retiree would be perfect for this little girl. She's a young and active little girl with lots of energy. She walks well on a leash and rides well in the car, so hopefully she'll be able to go on many adventures with her new family!

Lilly is current on her Distemper/Parvo and Rabies vaccine and is spayed and microchipped. She tested negative for Heartworms and is on Heartworm prevention.

Lilly's adoption fee is $400.00. We accept checks or cash for adoption fees... sorry, we do not take cards.

Lilly is a loving, active, and smart little girl who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that Lilly would be a good match for your family, you must first fill out an application here (please copy and paste): https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ After we receive your application we will contact you... thank you!

Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home!

Although Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, the first step is to complete and submit an application. Please e-mail us at foreverhomek9rescue@yahoo.com to request the application, which can be e-mailed back or faxed to us. A FHCR volunteer will contact you, and then arrangements can be made to meet the pet through the foster home.

FHCR offers a 3-week trial period to ensure that both the family and the pet are both happy with the results of the adoption. Within that time, we will refund the full adoption fee if the pet is returned. We want to be sure that our pets will have their perfect "forever" homes!
