Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Your New Best Friend
This sweet, easy-going boy is as lovable as they come. He’s attentive without being clingy and enjoys being near his people while still having an independent side. When he enters new environments, he may take a quick moment to observe, but he settles in almost immediately and carries on like a champ.
He’s wonderful with new people and is often more interested in enjoying his walk than making a big fuss, though once he’s comfortable, he’ll happily offer kisses. He’s shown no issues around squirrels, rabbits, or cats during outdoor encounters and acknowledges other dogs calmly before moving on, making him an easy companion to have out and about.
At home, he does well with housetraining overall and sleeps through the night without issue — often curled up right in bed with you. He knows “sit,” loves soft squeaky toys, and has one silly quirk: he likes to investigate bathroom trash cans. In the car, he’s curious and enjoys moving between the front and back seats to stay close.
Overall, he’s a gentle, quirky, affectionate boy who would thrive in just about any home environment. If you’re looking for a laid-back companion with a sweet soul and a touch of spunk, he might be the perfect match.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Harford County, Inc., located in Fallston, Maryland, is a non-profit, open-admission animal support organization dedicated to providing shelter and care to the homeless, abandoned and abused animals of Harford County. We provide a safe and healthy temporary shelter and seek loving, permanent homes to ensure the long-term welfare of the animals we serve. Through education and advocacy, we promote the humane treatment of companion animals and work toward reducing, and ultimately eliminating, pet overpopulation in the county through low-cost spay and neuter programs.
We have welcomed more than 300,000 animals since 1946 and provide service to the community in conjunction with animal control to safeguard public health and safety. We strive to promote the special bond between humans and their companion pets in securing forever homes for our animals.
The Humane Society of Harford County serves nearly 4,000 animals each year. The animals include dogs, cats, ponies, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, bearded dragons, lizards, snakes, spiders, iguanas, turtles, ducks, turkeys, chickens, goats and pigs, to name a few. The majority of the animals we receive are cats (and kittens) and dogs (and puppies).
