My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Diesel is 6-year-old lab mix with a fun playstyle. He has been in playgroups and has done well with both male and female dogs. He prefers doggy friends who aren`t over the top when playing with him. Diesel`s favorite activity is hanging out with people. He likes bringing his toys to human companions to coax them to play tug-of-war or fetch. He would do well in a quiet to moderately active home. Looking for a friend with a few miles, but with enough fuel for quite a few more years well Diesel could be the sporty guy for you.

Additional adoption info

All pet adoptions are subject to approval by SPCA staff.

An adoption application must be completed, followed by a screening and interview/counseling process. Adoption requirements are listed on the application.

We perform a fence check for most dogs and a vet check for all current pets. All current pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations.

Please contact the shelter directly for each pet's adoption fee: 803-648-6863. All adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, testing and a microchip.
