My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Nina – 1.5-Year-Old Mixed Breed | One of the Nifty Fifty 🐾
Rescued from heartbreak. Ready to give her whole heart.

Nina is one of the resilient souls from “The Nifty Fifty”, a group of animals we rescued from a severe hoarding situation in Mexico. She lived in unimaginable conditions—surrounded by filth, neglect, and tragedy. Many animals didn’t survive. But Nina did. She’s one of the lucky ones.

One day, one of the residents of the home became angry and tried to cut off her ear with a box cutter. Thankfully, he didn’t succeed, but she was left with a deep scar along the back of her head—a physical reminder of what she’s endured.

But Nina is so much more than her past.

She’s shy at first, but incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate once she warms up—which doesn’t take long. Her frame may be small and dainty, but don’t let that fool you. Nina’s got a playful spark and loves to roughhouse with the bigger dogs! She’s silly, spunky, and totally endearing, with big floppy “elephant ears” and an even bigger heart.

Nina is ready to pour all her love into a forever home. She just needs someone to see past the scars and into her soul.

Please share her story and help us find the loving home she so deeply deserves. 💛
