My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jaden, a.k.a. Moo Moo, a.k.a. Holy Cow 🐮 — an XL Bully mix with a striking white coat, grey spots, and a hilarious love for munching grass (hence the nicknames). 🌾

She was rescued from the kill list by a Good Samaritan and found her way into the care of DMDR. Once overweight, regular walks have helped her slim down—though she’s still every bit an XL girl!

At first, Jaden came across as an aloof, independent, grumpy old lady. But with time, her foster family has watched her sweet, affectionate side emerge. She’s incredibly expressive, rarely barks, and has a signature “Velociraptor” chatter that’s both bizarre and wildly entertaining. 🦖

Jaden loves her foster family—greeting them with big smiles, a wagging tail, and full-body joy whenever they return home. She enjoys a game of fetch at her own leisurely pace, gently nudging the ball back to remind you it’s your turn. 🎾

She is wary of strangers and has had a couple of incidents where she nipped without warning. Due to her size and lack of clear signals before striking, she’s currently working closely with a trainer to manage and redirect those instincts. She’s making steady progress, but her future adopter must be committed to continuing this work.

With a strong, dog-savvy handler who understands her sass and appreciates her quirks, Jaden has every chance to thrive in her golden years. She’s one of a kind, and she’s ready to find the human who sees that, too. ❤️
