Meet Messalina, a sweet 6-year-old lady with a heart full of love! When she first arrived at the shelter, she was a little shy and unsure, but she quickly warmed up to the staff, showing her friendly and affectionate side. Messalina enjoys petting and will even solicit more attention once she gets comfortable with you. Though she’s not too interested in toys, she does engage in some playful interactions with her human friends. When it comes to other dogs, Messalina is friendly and social! After meeting another dog on leash, Messalina greeted them with loose tail wags and a few bursts of excitement, but she’s quick to settle down and give her fellow doggie a break. She walked well alongside her new doggie friend, demonstrating her calm and cooperative nature. Messalina would thrive in a home with someone who can appreciate her gentle personality and help her build confidence. She’d do well with a slow introduction to other dogs, and she’s looking forward to finding her perfect match where she can continue to share her affectionate nature! If you have a resident pup at home, we recommend you bring them to the shelter for a meet to ensure compatibility!
