Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Crackers!
Little Crackers found himself at the Oklahoma City shelter, starving and emaciated, his ribs and hip bones protruding. Much longer on the streets and this little boy wouldn’t have made it.
We don’t know how Crackers ended up in such rough shape, but thankfully he was rescued just in time. With good food, a safe place to rest his head, and a little love, he quickly put on weight and settled comfortably into a home setting. Now healthy and happy, Crackers is ready to find the forever family he deserves.
Crackers is a 1-2 year old terrier mix weighing about 12 pounds. He’s a sweet, loving boy with a perfect balance of energy and relaxation. While he enjoys playtime and chewing on toys and sticks, he’s just as happy to curl up on the couch for some snuggles with his family.
Crackers is great with other small dogs and thrives in the company of his furry friends. He’s also crate trained and will stay quietly in his crate when needed. He reliably goes potty outside when the door is opened for him, though he hasn’t quite learned to ask to go out yet.
Shy by nature, Crackers prefers the comfort of home over trips to dog parks or busy adventures. He’s not a fan of leashes, so he’ll need a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore.
Crackers would do well as an only dog, but he’d likely feel more comfortable with another calm, non-aggressive small dog in the house. He’s not suited for homes with young children but would make a wonderful companion for an adult or a family with older kids.
After such a tough start, Crackers deserves a home where he will feel safe, loved, and cherished for the rest of his life. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly pup to join your family, Crackers might be the perfect fit!
