Here's what the humans have to say about me:

All Aboard!!! Animal Rescue Passenger Roscoe Waiting for a Forever Home!

ADOPTION FEE: $425

Meet Roscoe! This adorable man was returned to the shelter due to no fault of his own. He has now come to Colorado in hopes of finding his forever home!

FROM HIS FOSTERS!:
(8/29): "Here’s an update on Roscoe He’s doing absolutely wonderful. Roscoe is a huge cuddle bug with adorable snores! He loves to watch outside the windows whether it’s in the car or at home. We are working on heeling so he doesn’t pull so much when walking or trying to chase after rabbits. He’s very smart and caught on in about ten minutes. With this I found out he is very treat motivated and eager to learn! He is still a puppy and would do best with a home with a fenced backyard to play in. Roscoe is also dog friendly and would do great in a home with another furry friend to play and get his energy out with. He is crate trained we’re just working out the whining from time to time. This smart guy is also potty trained!"

(8/21): "Roscoe is such a sweet and fun boy! He loves attention and being around people, and he plays great with other dogs. He’d do really well in a home with other pups to hang out with. He’s mostly house trained and is doing a good job with his routine. We’re still working on getting him to stay quiet in the crate, but he’s improving with time and consistency. Like most young dogs, he just needs a little redirection here and there, but overall, he’s a really good boy.Roscoe would be a great fit for someone who’s home often or has other dogs to help keep him company. He’s got a big heart and so much love to give — anyone would be lucky to have him!"

(7/2) "Roscoe is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly. He is truly a happy-go-lucky guy with a heart of gold! He loves meeting new people and instantly becomes best friends with every dog he meets. He plays hard, cuddles harder, and is the definition of a goofball in the best way. He’s doing great with crate training and continues to make progress with house training. Roscoe is also working on his leash skills. He loves going on walks and is learning not to pull, especially when there are distractions. He’s picked up “sit” quickly, is starting to understand “lay down,” and is learning “leave it” too! He plays really well with his toys and is super food motivated, which makes training even more fun. While he’ll benefit from continued redirection and socialization, Roscoe has already come such a long way. He is the kind of dog who turns heads and hearts, anyone would be lucky to call him theirs!"

4/23 . Roscoe is such a loving and caring dog. He plays like there is no tomorrow. He has been super loving showing his lover boy side recently. When you come home from a bad day at work he will show you everything is okay. He is truly a gem and one of a kind. Crate training; we have stopped crying in the kennel completely putting a blanket below him is the best thing to do since it keeps him calm but will let you know right when you wake up to take him outside lol. He has picked up from my puppy and my senior that crate time is sleep time for sure. Accidents in the home have slowed down but it can still be a challenge waiting out for him to just use the bathroom. He recalls pretty amazingly when it’s time to go inside. Anyone will be lucky to have Roscoe as their puppy and bestie

4/8: Roscoe has truly been a joy to have! Super protective in a good way. He is super playful and loves to talk. He has been able to take cues from my older pitbull of when playtime is and when it ends. I have noticed he loves to play with other dogs but when it’s just play time with me and him he doesn’t really know how to play alone. (Which I feel like he would do amazing in a home that has dogs already). Tends to love playing with his dog bowl. He has been sleeping in a crate which he is getting used to day by day. He will let out occasional cries and whines but being patient and not giving in is a must. I have learned putting a blanket over his crate has decreased the amount of puppy cries and Me as the human being super quiet for about 10-15 minutes. Future adopters will have to focus on leash skills. Being patient with his pulling I’ve been using the stop and wait method. Showing I am in charge not him. He does great on loose leash but if you need to have him close to you (someone walking past or dogs) keeping him close by has been a bit of a struggle if we are walking. But waiting in the same spot he does great and will sit as well. We did see some kiddos and he stayed calm he was super curious but did not bark or react in anyway. This giant doesn’t realize he is a giant lol so reminding him to be gentle has been given Knows sit and caught on a bit to lay down. LOVES TREATS He has been able bit of a cuddle bug. Loves to give kisses and a few love nibbles. People manners need to be worked on a bit but he will benefit from redirection.  More socialization time is for sure needed with humans but taking it slow and not rushing anything would be best for him. He would do best with someone who is super active has a lot of energy and wants to be running and playing 24/7. Overall if I didn’t have 2 of my own already Roscoe would be coming home with me lol. Who ever gets the young fellow will have an amazing dog.  A true Bestfriend.

From his amazing foster 3/28: Roscoe is the happiest baby hippo. He has big puppy energy and also loves to snuggle. He is instant best friends every being he meets. He loves children and other animals! Roscoe has been working on potty training and is getting better every day. He loves munching an ice cube and laying in the grass.

*About us*
All Aboard saves animals from euthanasia lists at high-kill shelters, giving them a ticket for a second chance. With a passionate team we are a foster-based animal rescue, partnering with the community to provide shelter and resources prioritizing the animals’ well-being.

Every adoption fee directly helps a rescued animal make it safely from a shelter to a loving home. As a nonprofit, we put these fees right back into vet care, food, transport, and all the support to help the next animal.
You're not just adopting, you're saving a life and fueling another rescue journey!

*Our Mission*
At All Aboard Animal Rescue, our mission is to address the global pet overpopulation crisis through rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming.
We are dedicated to making a difference by providing essential resources and compassionate care to enhance the quality of life for animals. As their voice, we advocate for their well-being by raising awareness about the shelter crisis, promoting responsible pet guardianship, and ensuring the compassionate treatment of all animals.

*Our Vision*
We envision a world where every animal is understood with empathy, treated with kindness and respect, and where the unique bond between humans and animals is cherished — enriching all lives.

*Spay & Neuter is required by law in Colorado, helping to break the cycle of unwanted litters.*
Please consider supporting our mission. Together, we are making a difference!

Additional adoption info

We are a foster based rescue, and do not currently have a location. To meet or adopt any of our dogs or puppies you will need to attend one of our weekly Saturday adoption events. You must be present at the event to adopt a dog. PLEASE NOTE: Pre-approved applications are required in order to adopt at the event.

We start marketing our available dogs and puppies BEFORE they arrive in CO to work on finding them their forever homes as quickly as possible and to decrease the amount of times they have to be moved around. Most of our dogs and puppies are NOT in CO when they are posted on the website.

ADOPTION FEES***:

Why aren't rescue dogs free?
Because it takes a lot of time and money to get them to our rescue, vetted and ready for adoption. You are not paying a fee for the puppy, but rather a fee for all of money that went into the dog to get it to us, fostered, vetted and ready for adoption. All of our adoption fees include: age appropriate shots, a free vet exam and discounts at our partner vet clinic, and 30 days free of pet insurance.

Why is there a price range for each adoption category?
Adoption fees can vary slightly per dog based on their breed. The more desirable breeds will have a slightly higher adoption fee on a tiered system. Bronze- $25 more, Silver- $50 more, Gold- $75 more

Unaltered Puppies (5 months and under)
$500 to $575- Our puppies that arrive unaltered are not going to be fixed since research shows that fixing them before 5-6 months is detrimental to their health and development.

Altered Puppies (5 months and under)
$550 to $625- These puppies arrive to use already altered!

Young Adults (6 months to 1 year)
$500 to $575

Adults (1-5 years)
$425 to $500

Older Adults (5-8 years)
$375 to $450

Seniors (8+ years)
$300 to $375- Occasionally fee decrease will apply here on a case by case basis

Step 1 – Fill Out An Adoption Application
Please fill out an application online, which can be found under the adoptions tab. Applications must be filled out in full and electronically signed or we will not review them. Please allow us 24-48 hours to process your application and get back to you. You will receive an email back from us letting us know if you are able to adopt or not. If you fill out an application less than 24 hours before one of our adoption events, do not expect to get a response back from us before the event.

Step 2 – Placing a Dog or Puppy on Hold
We are able to hold one dog or puppy per approved applicant to give you the first chance to meet and hopefully adopt that puppy. Dogs on hold will only be held for the first hour of our adoption event from 10-11am. After 11am all dogs will be available on a first come first serve basis. A dog is not on hold for you until you have received a confirmation email back from us letting you know that your application has been approved and you have confirmed that you will be at our adoption event to meet your chosen dog.

Step 3 – Attending an Adoption Event
Our adoption events are held every Saturday from 10am-1pm at Petco (2211 S College Ave) and our AAAR office (1721 W Harmony Rd Unit 102). Occasionally we have them at different locations, so keep an eye on our social media pages for more info! If you have a dog on hold a volunteer can help you locate that dog and you get the next hour to socialize with that dog and decide if it is a good fit. If you do not have a dog on hold, you are welcome to come meet our dogs that do not have holds on them, but dogs with holds will not be available to meet until after 11am. Volunteers will be happy to answer questions and help you introduce the dog to your current dog(s), kid(s), etc. Once you are ready to adopt there will be more paperwork and an adoption fee. Be prepared to take your pup home with you that day!

Step 4 – Adopting
Even though you have already submitted an application online, there will be more paperwork required to make the adoption official. You will need to complete all of the required adoption paperwork and pay the adoption fee. ADOPTION FEES ARE NONREFUNDABLE.
