My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Irene (AKA Mouse)!

Joined us in: January 2025

About Mouse:
• A gentle, playful girl who loves tossing toys in the air and chasing them.
• Enjoys head pets and chin scratches once she feels comfortable.
• A big fan of wet food and Creamies — the key to her heart!
• Sweetly affectionate, with purrs and happy rolls when she’s relaxed.

Her perfect match:
• A quiet, patient home that will let her settle in at her own pace.
• A home with another friendly cat to help boost her confidence — she loves playing and cuddling with other cats.
• An adopter willing to start her in a small, cozy space to help her feel safe.

Some extra facts:
• Mouse came from another shelter and has made amazing progress in foster care.
• She takes a once-daily medication for itchy skin and does great with it, especially when mixed into wet food.
• Her experience with dogs or children is unknown, so a calm environment is best.

In short:
Mouse is a lovely, shy girl with a playful heart who will make a wonderful companion for someone ready to let her shine in her own time.
