Willa is about 2-years old and was abandoned in our Gresham neighborhood in Sept. 2024. Neighbors took care of her hoping that her owner would come back, but when we were about to call animal services, I volunteered to temporarily take her in.
I'm a retiree with 2 old adopted/rescue dogs, and Willa transitioned easily into our quiet home. She started out shy but quickly showed everyone her athleticism, keen intelligence, and spirited energy. She tries to get the older male lab to play with her, but now her favorite thing is going to the dog park where she gets to play with other young pups like her, and she's learning about doggie hierarchy.
I think Willa will do best in a home where she can get one-on-one attention from someone who is experienced with training dogs and has an active lifestyle.
