My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Uri and I’m looking for my forever home! I was born in October and I’m a Shiba-Beagle mix. My mom was a Shiba Inu who was found as a stray. SIRA rescued her and discovered puppies hiding in her belly! After my siblings and I were born, SIRA did a DNA test to learn what kind of dog our father was. I live with my foster family in Spring Hill, TN, now. I’m a very good boy! I’m potty trained and when my foster family goes out, I’m quiet and calm in my crate. I’m good with human kids. I love to play in the yard and I don’t jump up or play too rough. My favorite thing is cuddling on the couch with my foster family or with the other dog who lives here. I’m good with strangers and get excited when friends and family visit. I am a good boy on leash walks. I love to sniff, but stay close and don’t pull too much. I’m good with other dogs - very curious – but I don’t come on too strong. I wait for them to greet me, and then I love to play! There is a cat here in my foster home and I try to play with her, but she runs away from me. Foster mom thinks that I would probably be okay with a cat who is comfortable playing with dogs. I love running in the fenced yard here in my foster home. I bring my toys outside and throw them and chase them, and I love to lay in the grass and sunbathe. Indoors, my favorite toys involve treats! I love treat puzzles and treat dispensing balls. I am a healthy boy – neutered and vaccinated. I currently weigh 25 lbs. My perfect forever family would love to snuggle and would have a fenced yard where I can play, because I love it so much! But I'd also do okay without a fenced yard as long as you have time to take me for walks. If you live in the Midwest and want your very own Shibeagle Snuggle Buddy, then here I am! Visit www.savingshibas.com/adopt for more information and to apply to become an approved SIRA adopter. The application process helps SIRA make sure we’ll be a good match. Once you’re approved, SIRA will introduce you to my foster mom so we can meet!
