Meet Porky, a sweet and energetic Queensland Heeler/Boston Terrier mix looking for a new forever home. His owner, who has had him since birth, cannot care for him due to personal reasons and wants to find him the best possible home.

Temperament: Playful, treat-motivated, loves toys and chasing balls
House Trained: Yes, but not crate trained
Other Pets: Has lived with dogs & cats before
Children: Has never been around children
Fencing: Needs a secure fence—he can jump/climb if left alone too long
Indoor Dog: Yes, he has always been an inside pet

Porky is looking for a home where he will get plenty of love and attention. He thrives on interaction and would do best in a home where he isn’t left alone for extended periods.

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).
