My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name's Caesar and I'm looking for someone to spend the better half of my life with. I was found abandoned in a sealed basement in Philly with my brother who passed away shortly after due to infection from the living conditions, but after some love from my foster parents, I am ready for my forever family! I am up to date on my vaccines and have been to the vet many times for blood work and to investigate why half my face is paralyzed. Good news is it hasn't progressed and does not limit me at all, no need for meds or eye drops. More good news: it gives me a very charming smirk.

I love people and while I'm still learning how to trust and interact with them, I’m SUPER cuddly and a little needy once I trust you. I once crawled into the full bathtub to curl up on my foster mom’s stomach. I can get a little too excited when getting attention, especially at first. I just want more pets!

My perfect home would be just me and you, the quieter the better. While I love every person I meet, my flawed communication skills would not make me a good fit for kids. I have been known to bond with other animals, but I am very selective, and my foster parents have not cracked the code as to who/what about other animals upsets me.

In my time with my foster parents, I’ve grown so much! I have a lot of fun exploring new places, playing with any toy that moves, making air biscuits (I like to stretch one arm up as high as I can and squeeze my little paw open and closed…idk why), but most of all I love quality time with my humans and hope to finally be in a warm safe place forever!

Caesar Augustus is 6 years old and is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. He is affectionate, cuddly, curious, and independent.

Additional adoption info

Project MEOW Adoption Fees – Effective March 15, 2023

Cats/kittens under 1 years old: $125 + 8% sales tax = $135
Cats ages 1-9 years old: $100 + 8% sales tax = $108
Senior cats ages 10+ years old: $75 + 8% sales tax = $81
Adopt 2 cats and save $25 off the total adoption fee

* You must be 18 or older to adopt. If you’re under 18, you must have a parent or guardian submit an application on your behalf.
* All cats must be kept indoors. In special circumstances, we may waive this requirement on a case-by-case basis.
* We do not adopt to any home that will declaw an animal. Declawing is cruel and unnecessary.
* All cats/kittens must be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
* Kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs or into a home with another active cat or cat-friendly dog.
* Your adoption fee helps to cover a small part of the costs of veterinary care. However, we strongly recommend that you take your new kitty to your vet for a check-up shortly after adopting to establish a relationship and a lifetime of regular check-ups and care.
