My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rango

2 years old | Herding dog | Fluffy, athletic, unforgettable

Rango is a stunning, fluffy herding dog with movie-star looks and a very serious commitment to his favorite ball. Truly—this is a monogamous relationship. Fetch isn’t just a game to Rango… fetch is life.

He’s smart, driven, and thrives when he has a job to do. Like many herding breeds, Rango feels big feelings and is still learning how to manage them. He struggles with barrier reactivity and has decreased bite inhibition, so he’s looking for a home with experienced dog owners who understand structure, management, and positive reinforcement training.

Rango is dog selective and will need very slow, controlled introductions to any canine friends. He may do best as an only dog or with a knowledgeable handler willing to take introductions at his pace.
In the right hands, Rango has the potential to be an incredible companion—loyal, athletic, and deeply bonded to his person (and, of course, his ball). He’s not for everyone, but for the right home, he’ll be everything.
