Hi there! I’m Brewster, and my foster family says I’m the sweetest, most lovable boy around. I was born in a shelter, but I’ve been living with my amazing foster family since I was just two weeks old. I come from a big litter of seven, and while all my brothers and sisters have found their forever homes, I’m still waiting for mine—and I’m patient because I’ve gotten some extra special time with my doggy mom. She’s a speedy herding dog, and I’m going to be just like her when I grow up, so I’ll need plenty of space to run and play!
I’m a smart little guy—I already know how to sit and come! I can be a bit shy with new things, so I’ll do best with someone who can help me build my confidence. I also need lots of exercise and mental stimulation, so a fenced yard is a must. I do get warm quickly (I might have some husky in me), so I enjoy the outdoors in moderation.
I love having doggy friends and hope my forever home has one for me. I’m on the smaller side, like my mom, and I adore snuggles, soft beds, and treats—I’m a great sit-for-treats pup! I do get a little excited at mealtime because, well… I love to eat! I’m still learning to go potty outside, so a patient family will help me keep improving.
I just know my perfect forever home is out there, and I can’t wait to meet them!

The shelter is located at 589 Coolwater Drive in Bastrop Texas. Please come meet our pets Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
