Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maple is an approx. 3 year old Chihuahua that weighs 10 lbs. Maple joined the rescue after finding herself on the euthanasia list at a local shelter very pregnant. Once she arrived to her foster home she gave birth within 24 hrs! We also found out that she was HW+ and would have to go through treatment as well! Maple has been through so much in just the short amount of time we’ve had her she deserves to spend the rest of her life loved and spoiled rotten!
After being through so much in her life she is very nervous of new people. She will need an adopter willing to give her time and space to adjust to a new environment.
She does great with other small dogs and will require another playful small dog in her home! The company of another dog really helps Maple come out of her shell!
Maple is still working on basic dog things such as being picked up, being pet, potty training, & leash training. In her foster home Maple has come such a long way but Maple’s adopter will need to be patient and understanding while they help her learn & adjust!
Due to her shy nature a home without kids is required. Maple will also require a secure fence backyard and home check.
Maple does love to be near her person she just has to have time to get to know them and understand nothing bad is going to happen!
Maple’s favorite thing is to play with her doggy friends & she also loves to play with toys! Maple is crate trained, her crate is a safe space for her, you can often find her laying in there with the door open.
Maple is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, went through HW treatment & current on prevention! Maple’s adoption fee is $250.
