My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Benji!
This scruffy guy thrives on human interaction and will steal your heart the moment you met him.
He loves all humans and has been great with the dogs he has met at the shelter.
He has medium energy, so he would be a perfect addition to any family.
Benji is a terrier mix, weighs 40 lbs, and his birthday is 3.15.22. All of our dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm/Chagas-negative, and on Simparica Trio. when they are adopted.
If you are interested in meeting Benji, please send an email to bahshelter@yahoo.com. If you have additional dogs, we require a meet and greet.

More about this shelter

The Bulverde Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Founded in 1983 by Dolores Caldwell, BAHS is a no-kill shelter caring for up to 400 dogs and cats annually. The shelter resides on 3.25 acres of park-like land and houses indoor/outdoor kennels, a cattery, nursery/medical recovery building, agility fields, and fenced-in play yards.

BAHS is powered by volunteers and overseen by a Board of Directors. Our volunteers ensure the dogs and cats get plenty of exercise, playtime, and unlimited cuddles, love, and affection.
