Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Hunter – The Nose with a Dog Attached! 🐶👃
Hunter is a 36lb hound with a serious passion for sniffing—pretty sure he moonlights as a detective. He likely has some Beagle in him, as he treats every walk like an important crime scene investigation (suspect: squirrel, motive: unknown).
But don’t worry, he’s not the loud, howling type—this guy is a gentleman. He’s quiet, great with kids, other dogs, and cats, and an absolute dream in the car. Crate-trained? Yep. Drama-free? You bet. Hunter is the kind of dog who just wants to love and be loved—no fuss, no nonsense, just good vibes and happy tail wags.
Sadly, he lost his home due to a messy human situation (aka divorce). But now, he’s ready for a fresh start with someone who will appreciate his sweet, easygoing nature.
If you’re looking for a gentle, lovable sidekick who’s equal parts explorer and cuddle buddy, Hunter is ready to sniff out his forever home with you! 🐾💙

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
