My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Auntie Em! This petite black beauty was living a rough life as an outdoor stray in the cold of winter when a kind woman noticed she was pregnant. Soon after her babies were born, the family became Tenth Life kitties. Auntie Em’s kittens have all been adopted, and now it’s her turn!

Despite living outside for part of her life, Auntie Em is a healthy and loving girl who thrives on human attention. She loves pets and belly rubs, and she makes the most adorable “air biscuits” when she’s getting love from her foster mom.

Auntie Em can be a bit frightened in new environments, so she may hide for a bit in a new home. She may also be shy when you come to meet her. With a little patience and trust, though, this sweet girl will soon be begging for pets and attention. Em would likely get along with other calm, friendly cats, but her fondest dream would be having you all to herself.

Auntie Em has been through a lot, and now she deserves to have a safe, warm, and loving home. Could it be yours?

More about this rescue

Tenth Life's Mission:
Giving cats the lives they deserve.
At Tenth Life, we believe that every cat, regardless of emotional or physical limitations, deserves the chance at a fulfilling and happy life.
We provide veterinary care, foster homes, and adoptive placement to stray cats and kittens, prioritizing those with special needs. We work to end unnecessary euthanasia and cat homelessness through educational outreach, community programs, and collaborative partnerships.

Only when a trusted veterinarian determines that a cat is in a state of incurable suffering, does Tenth Life relieve them of their pain through gentle and humane euthanasia. This difficult and thoughtful decision is never made in response to a lack of space, negative behaviors, or because a cat's medical needs are challenging or expensive.
