Meet Groot! 🌳
Do you love BIG dogs? Groot is your guy. He is currently underweight and is just over 100 lbs. We expect he should be closer to 120 lbs+ as he is a bit thin at the moment. We believe he is about 3 years old. Groot came to us as a stray and seems to have had a rough start. He had a terrible case of "happy tail" where the tip of his tail was ulcerated and bleeding constantly, and despite our best efforts, he ended up needing a tail amputation. He now has the cutest little nub tail. Since his arrival, Groot has also been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm tested negative. This sweet boy has an amazing demeanor, seems to be ok with other animals and all humans alike. Rides well in the car. He would love to find a home soon. Must be ok with a big, drooly dog who thinks he belongs in your lap! His adoption fee is $150, please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov for more information
