My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌷 Meet Iris from the Flower Litter – Now Available for Adoption! 🌷
Born on January 25, 2025, Iris is a female Pit Mix pup with a heart full of love and a playful spirit that shines through everything she does. This sweet girl is looking for a forever home where she can be close to her humans, enjoy belly rubs, and show off her growing collection of toys!
About Iris:
Iris is a joyful, affectionate pup who loves to fetch, snuggle, and follow her people from room to room. She’s a total snuggle bug who thrives on belly rubs and loves stashing her toys in her crate like treasures. Whether she’s chasing a squeaky toy or curling up in your lap, Iris is happiest when she’s near her favorite humans.
Great With Kids:
She currently lives with kids aged 8, 13, and 14, and is gentle, playful, and affectionate with all of them! She’s also comfortable with men, though she can be shy at first—just give her a little time and a gentle approach, and she’ll warm right up.
Dog & Cat Compatibility:
Iris hasn’t had much interaction with other dogs yet, and she hasn’t been exposed to cats. With proper introductions, she may do well—but slow, thoughtful intros will be key.
Training & Habits:
• Crate trained: Yes! She does great in her crate.
• Leash trained: In progress.
• Doggy door trained: Not yet.
• Potty habits: Uses pee pads inconsistently; prefers to go outside in a small, familiar area (10–12 ft).
• Knows “sit” and is working on “down” and “shake.”
• Likes: Toys (especially in your lap), treats, fetch, belly rubs.
• Dislikes: Being petted from above—she’s more comfortable when approached at her level.
Ideal Home:
Iris doesn’t need a big yard, but she would love a space where she can stay close to her humans. She’d do best in a home where she’s not left alone too long and can enjoy regular interaction, love, and continued training. With patience and guidance, she could absolutely adapt to apartment living, especially with consistent outdoor potty breaks.
Fun Fact:
She’s a little toy hoarder! Iris loves to collect her favorite squeakers and stash them in her crate—she treats them like treasure.
