Axle is a 5-year-old diva in a dog’s body, serving high-maintenance cat realness every single day. He doesn’t walk—he struts. He doesn’t sit—he poses. And he absolutely refuses to do anything that doesn’t align with his personal aesthetic.
This is a dog who wakes you up at 4 a.m. because he decided it’s cuddle time… then leaves the moment you start enjoying it. He stares at you like you’re lucky he even acknowledged your existence, and honestly? He’s not wrong.
Axle’s daily schedule includes:
• Judging your outfit from across the room
• Requesting treats, sniffing them, and rejecting them with visible disappointment
• Low barking when he feels his space bubble has been impeded
• Demanding the door be opened… then refusing to go through it
• Making prolonged eye contact to let you know he runs this house
He prefers window seats, sun patches, and any elevated surface from which he can silently critique your life choices. If you move his blanket the wrong direction? He will absolutely give you side-eye and a bark.
Axle is loyal, affectionate, and sweet—on his terms only. He’s a glamorous, opinionated, high-standards king who expects you to keep up.
If you’re ready for a pet with more attitude than a reality TV reunion special, Axle will be accepting applications for his staff—sorry, “family”—this week. Adult only home. Great with dogs and cats that are on property. Doesn't like new animals coming onto the property.

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.
Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
