My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Woody is not only handsome, he is sweet, a bit shy, has been good with other dogs. He needs someone who has some leash handling skills and is willing to take the time to get to know him while he's learning to trust. Woody is "cat like" in the fact that he is rather aloof and just likes to hang around on the periphery while he warms to his person. He wants to bond to his person but he's not overly cuddly. Woody does require a fenced yard.

Some special words about Woody from one of our amazing dog walkers! Read what Sharon has to say about this sweet boy.

"I try not to have a favorite but sometimes it can’t be helped. I took Woody out again today. He is kind and gentle and sweet and very much wants to have his very own human. He always looks back to check on me to make sure I’m doing OK. Woody is also beautiful and graceful and just the right size - not too big not too small. Even though he’s white, his coat is an easy keeper. He looks more like a German shepherd, or a shepherd cross with a border collie, but he’s got some Husky they say. I did notice he’s not a fan of really loud noises. There was a big bang over at the dump and he was not a big fan of that which is probably why in the shelter he’s kind of depressed and hanging out in the corner of his kennel. It’s very loud in there. My wish is that some loving person or family will come and see the potential this dog has. He’s really a beautiful dog inside and out."

Woody's foster mom had this to say: " He's sweet, patient, doesn't bark, is extremely obedient and gets very attached to his people. We are praying for his forever home."
