Noir is a timid but kind cat that had a rough life before coming to Darbster. He is this week's "Rescue Cat of the Week," so his adoption fee is reduced by $50! He is currently in foster, so please reach out if you would like to meet him. Noir was found beat up, looking for food (and friends) in a cat colony in Florida. Noir is great with other cats, and with some patience, he bonds strongly with his humans as well. He has learned to love indoor life, especially: cat scratchers, breakfast and dinnertime, watching out windows, and comfy places to lay and relax. He is a very sweet and loving boy, but does take time to warm up to new people and places. Noir can be sensitive to stressors and would do best in a calmer home. It helps if he has one "safe room" he can start in in a home while he gets his footing in the new environment. He would thrive in a home with other friendly cats. His best bud in foster is Shadow, who is also available for adoption, though they are not a bonded pair. Noir is such a sweet guy, just patiently waiting for someone to take a chance on him. While he is LOVING life in foster, we would love to find him a permanent home with a loving person or family. If you are interested in Noir (or Shadow), please reach out to us and we can arrange a meet and greet!

At Darbster Rescue, our goal is to place kittens, cats, and dogs with great, forever homes in New England. The pets are primarily from South Florida and other southern states where the euthanasia rates are very high. Our shelters are in New Hampshire which has a strong demand for pets relative to supply and where shelters like ours are strictly no kill operations. Our animals will go to their new homes spayed or neutered, UTD on shots and a clean bill of health from FL and NH. We are here to help everyone look for the perfect match for themselves and their family.
