My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Jupiter. I’m a 4 year old pure Lab searching for my new furever family. I’m a 60 lb. lap dog (if I’m invited up). I love my crate and often go in to chew my bone, rest or when my fam is gone. I know words like outside, come, sit, down, stay, be nice, cookie. My foster parents are still working on the words heel, stop and off. I’m very attentive with good eye to eye contact so learning a couple more words is a cinch!!
I’m very smart and often watches to learn how things are done and then tries to do it too; like how to open an older crate door when no one is looking. I will need a fenced in yard, preferably 6ft wooden or taller fence, as I am a great jumper.  I’m very energetic and love to run and play with my toys or foster family. I love having fun with adults and older kids as I’m a pup at heart and unaware of her size and that bumping into small children could make them take a tumble. I’m am the very best dog when I’m the only canine princess in the house. I am fine with cats and other animals. I am good with little dogs and once even jumped in a man’s lap to give his little  dog a big, slurpy kiss!!!! I’ll be ready to go when I find my best friend(s) of all time. Well, I must go for now. I sure hope you might be my furever family! Summer is coming and I’d love to show you so much! Fostered with Denise Meyer 847-833-7580. Adoption fee of $350 required.

More about this rescue

Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue was born out of my love for small dogs and desire to help those in need, and in memory of the loss of a dear family member. Dealing frequently with small breed puppies and retired breeder moms, we strive to find homes that are aware of the commitment to raising a small breed dog and to the patience needed in socializing and housebreaking a retired breeder mom who has no idea what life in a home is all about. We are foster home based and are always looking for new foster homes to help us continue our love of rescuing dogs in need. We are happy to assist in owner surrender placements, especially those in need of surrendering their small dogs due to financial hardships, loss of a loved one, or dog owner entering assisted living facilities or nursing homes. We pride ourselves with a thorough search for that perfect home for a dog in need and follow up with phone calls to ensure things are going well. Tiny Paws will take back an adopted dog should the need arise within a reasonable notice and an available foster home has an open spot. Our goal is to someday own a building to house even more canine companions in need. We look forward to helping you find your family pet.
