Meet Carter – A Sweet Survivor with a Heart of Gold
Carter is a handsome orange tabby with a calm spirit, a loving soul, and a story that deserves the happiest of endings.
Rescued from Puerto Rico through the Save a Gato organization, Carter was one of many cats at risk of euthanasia—despite being healthy, vetted, and cared for—due to inhumane local policies. Thankfully, he was saved and brought to safety, and now this affectionate boy is ready to find the forever home he’s always deserved.
Carter is a true lovebug who thrives on human companionship. He’s happiest when he’s curled up on your lap, stretched across your chest, or tucked beside you for a cozy nap. Whether you’re watching TV or working from home, Carter is the gentle, purring presence you’ve been dreaming of.
Carter is FIV-positive, but that doesn’t hold him back in the slightest. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is not a death sentence—cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives with good nutrition, regular vet care, and a safe indoor home. Carter is healthy, happy, and full of love to give.
He would thrive in a calm, caring home where he can be the center of attention and shower his person with affection. Whether you’re a seasoned cat lover or a first-time adopter, Carter will quickly win your heart with his sweetness and quiet charm.
Carter is ready to start the next chapter of his story—with you.
Come see him at the Witty Whisker Cat Cafe!
We provide all initial wellness care, including vaccines, deworming, checking for mites etc., for each kitten and cat under our care. All cats and kittens available for adoption have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, combo tested and given a rabies vaccine. Our adoption fees also cover lifetime microchip registration. To apply to adopt, please visit our website www.fcocinc.org and click "Adopt" under the cat you're interested in.
