My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jackie – Your Bouncy, Bright-Eyed Wiggle Worm Ready to Bloom!

Quick Facts:
Name: Jackie
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier Mix
Age: 1 year
Weight: 20 lbs
House-Trained: Almost! She’s making great progress
Crate-Trained: In progress – improving daily
Other Pets: Loves other dogs; would thrive with one or two similarly sized companions
Good with Kids: Best in a home with older kids due to her jumping
Energy Level: High – full of playful, classic Jack Russell energy
Special Needs: Jackie is Heartworm positive and will receive full treatment through CrisisDogsNC. She may be adopted prior to completing HW treatment. The full treatment will be paid for by the rescue.

Why You’ll Love Jackie:

  • Energetic, playful, and full of life

  • Great with other playful, easygoing dogs

  • Loves toys, treats, and zooming around the yard

  • Super affectionate once she bonds with you

  • Learning fast – making strides with crate and potty training

  • A loving, silly, loyal girl once she feels safe

About Jackie’s Breed Mix:
Jack Russell Terriers are well known for their smarts, spirit, and athleticism. This breed is curious, confident, and always ready for fun. With consistent training and structure, Jack Russells thrive as loyal, highly entertaining companions. Their strong personality is paired with boundless affection—making them unforgettable members of any household. Jackie’s mix likely blends the Jack Russell’s enthusiasm with a gentle, snuggly side once she bonds with her humans.

Jackie’s Story & Personality:
Jackie is the definition of a wiggle worm—bouncy, curious, and eager to love. While she can be timid around new people, once she opens up, she’s all kisses and cuddles. Jackie is still learning the ropes of being a house dog, but she’s picking it up fast—her potty training and crate training are coming along with each day. She absolutely adores playing with other dogs and would love a home with friendly canine siblings who enjoy romping around the yard. Jackie isn’t quite ready for young kids due to her jumpy enthusiasm, but in the right home, her joy and love will shine. She needs a fenced yard to safely let out her Jack Russell energy, and some patience from her future family as she builds trust and confidence. She’s sweet, spunky, and full of potential.

Jackie’s Perfect Home:

  • A fenced yard for safe zoomies and exploration

  • A home with one or two similarly sized, playful dogs

  • An adopter with patience and a calm environment to help her build confidence

  • Older kids or adult-only home preferred due to her jumpy nature

  • A family that can provide structure, continued training, and gentle encouragement

  • Someone looking for a bright, loving companion who will thrive with time and care

Ready to Make Jackie Yours?
Jackie is fully vetted, growing in confidence, and ready for a family who sees how special she is. If you’re ready for a playful pup who will return your love tenfold once she feels safe, Jackie could be your perfect match.
