My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOG FRIENDLY: yes!
CAT FRIENDLY: most likely
KIDDO FRIENDLY: slow, proper introductions
Sawyer is currently in a foster home! Please call the shelter or submit an application online to meet this sweet boy! Heres what his foster family has to say about him,

`Hi there, everyone!

I’m Sawyer, and if I had a superpower, I would fly! I train every day by doing the sploots, and even when I take naps, I stretch my arms out in front of me and dream about flying. When I’m not busy playing with my foster fur-sibling, I love to sunbathe or snuggle on a good couch. But hey! Life isn’t all play! I mean, I wish it were because that’s my weakness. However, I enjoy working on my commands, such as sit, down, come, wait, and behind. I’m also crate-trained, my crate is like my superhero hideout! It’s super cozy and just for me(sometimes my foster fur-siblings try to fit in the crate with me). I also enjoy walks, hiking, and splashing around in creeks!

Even though I dream of being a superhero, I’m not brave like them all the time. Don’t tell my foster fur-siblings, but the first few days, I wasn’t sure what was happening. However, watching the other dogs helped me adjust well to my new environment. And, when we do new things, I will sometimes watch them to see how they react.

So now, I’m beginning to interact with strangers, and recently, I got to meet A LOT of people at once. Even though I growled and barked at a few, it didn’t take me long to realize that they were some pretty cool humans, and now I consider them my friends. I mean, they ended up playing with my favorite squeaky toys and rope all weekend, and I got to stay up later to hang out with all the cool kids, how cool is that? I hope you give me a chance and come meet me, because I’ve learned throughout my dog years that it’s way better to go through life’s crazy ups and downs with someone you love than doing it alone.`
