*** Roly-Poly is at The Cat Cafe in downtown San Diego. ***
Roly-Poly #19620: gray/brown/black tabby, short hair, neut. male, born approx. 10/1/24
Cats: must have energetic playmate Dogs: possibly Children: calm/gentle
BACKGROUND: Roly-Poly was spotted in a Costco parking lot by some cat-loving employees who tried to catch him on their breaks but he was so confused and scared that it took most of the day and the unexpected help of one of the community cats they feed who showed up interested in the kitten. Once Roly-Poly was in safe hands, he immediately relaxed and was able to transfer to a Rescue House foster where he has since been charming her socks off.
PERSONALITY: Roly-Poly is a quirky, fun, curious, playful, and attention-seeking little guy! He acquired his name because when he sees a human he has a strong desire to flip onto his back and roll from side to side hoping to get pets… all the while maintaining eye contact with you. He loves pets, belly rubs, and kisses; he may chew on your fingers a bit and need redirecting to a kicker toy at such times as he learns. Roly-Poly is very energetic and his motto is the more toys the better! He’s the sweetest and most loving kitty, and innocence and trust shine in his eyes. He likes relaxing in a comfy cave with soft bedding on and under; that safe spot is where Roly-Poly will go if something startles him, and then he’ll poke his head out for a bit before mustering the bravery to go investigate (with a puffed-up tail) whatever surprised him.
COMPATIBILITY: Roly-Poly is good with other cats but especially young cats with a similar play drive; he must have a younger and energetic kitty playmate in his new home. If he is slowly introduced to a cat-savvy dog, we think he should be fine. Gentle children who are calm and eager to entertain Roly-Poly with wand toys would likely work out well.
Love and laughter abound with this silly little love bug. Will you welcome Roly-Poly into your home?
