My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peter Rabbit is a cute male kitten who was brought to the HSOV on March 20, 2025 along with his brother (Cadbury) and his two sisters (Chickadee and Peeps). These four babies were found in the Newport Ohio area and were estimated to have been 11-weeks old when they entered our shelter.

Peter Rabbit has a brown tabby short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and an adorable (rather mischievous-looking) face with golden eyes, a splash of white on his muzzle/chin, a brown velvet nose, and long white whiskers.

Peter Rabbit and his brother (Cadbury) are nearly identical twins and a bit difficult to tell apart until you have been 'up close and personal' with them for awhile (smile). Peter Rabbit's coat is more of a soft brown color (and is a tad bit longer/fuzzier), while Cadbury has a darker black/gray coat.

Both Peter Rabbit and Cadbury have playful kitten personalities. They are sharing a double-wide cage and play non-stop 24/7 with time out for snuggle time/catnaps. Both of these little guys are wanna-be 'ring leaders of fun-and-games'.

These photos were taken on March 27, 2025 when HSOV Volunteer Wendy Jo Irvin accompanied Peter Rabbit and Cadbury in our 'studio'. This dynamic duo seemed to think they'd been chosen for a competition to determine which kitten was the most playful ... And at the end of the games, it was decided they both tied for "best in show" (Smile).

Peter Rabbit was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on March 21, 2025. He weighed 2.4 lbs that day and is slighter smaller than his brother. Peter Rabbit was given booster vaccines on April 5, 2025.

Peter Rabbit and Cadbury will be neutered (tentatively on April 22nd). Naturally we'd love to see these boys adopted together since they are so compatible and love to engage in silly kitten games as a pair .. And remember that kittens do so much better in pairs!

Peter Rabbit was neutered on April 22, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 3.4 lbs that day.
