Their adoption process
The first step in our process is to submit an online application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms to get the process started. We do NOT schedule meet and greets prior to an application being approved.

Adoption fees are based on the age of the dog and not the vet fees incurred to be fair to older dogs and give them a better chance at adoption. All dogs are spayed and neutered prior to adoption and receive at least their first round of vaccines, including rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella. We also microchip all of our dogs. They are also heartworm tested and on prevention. We do not adopt on a first-come, first served basis but do attempt to match the dog to the family that best suits the dog. We require personal references, landlord (if applicable), and vet reference.

Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- We do require 3 personal references; a vet reference if you have or recently had a pet; groomer reference & landlord reference
- Interview
- We do require a home visit on all applications with all family members present.
- Home Check
- Once the home visit is completed, the entire application package is reviewed. You will receive an email when your application is approved.
- Approve Application
- If the dog is still available that you applied for and we determine that it's a good match, you will be contacted to set up a meet and greet
- Meet the Pet
- If the meet and greet goes well, we can then do the adoption.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Take the Pet Home
