My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

INFO: Meet Rutabaga, a gentle, sensitive soul who moves through the world with softness and heart. She has enjoyed the company of other dogs and, while she can be shy with new people at first, she bonds deeply once she feels safe. When Rutabaga loves you, she loves you with her whole heart.

After a tough start and losing some of her confidence in the shelter, Rutabaga was selected for K9 Kismet’s DIESEL Project, a training and confidence-building program created for dogs with extraordinary potential. She’s spending several weeks with a professional trainer learning how to feel brave again, build trust, and discover that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. Rutabaga is calm, sweet-natured, medium to low energy, and the kind of quiet companion who makes life feel softer just by being in the room.

Bonus: Her future adopter will receive a complimentary session with her trainer to help her settle into her new home. Rutabaga is ready to bloom… she just needs her person.
