Pavarti was adopted from us as a very young kitten and sadly returned right around her one-year mark — through no fault of her own. She is now experiencing something commonly referred to as single kitten syndrome, which is exactly why we strongly encourage kittens to be adopted in pairs or into homes with another young, playful cat.
When kittens grow up without other feline companions, they can sometimes struggle with confidence, boundaries, and appropriate play behaviors. Pavarti came from a home with no other pets and young children, and we believe a lot of her current challenges stem from a lack of feline companionship and overstimulation in that environment.
In the shelter, she is actually doing fairly well — but she is clearly stressed. Shelter life isn’t easy for any cat, especially one who is still building confidence. Pavarti would thrive in an adult-only home that understands she may need patience, structure, and time to feel secure. She isn’t a “perfect” cat — she’s a cat who needs someone willing to work through her insecurities and help her blossom.
Underneath it all, Pavarti is still a young cat with so much potential. With the right environment — calm, consistent, and ideally with a confident feline companion — we truly believe she can grow into a wonderful, balanced adult cat.

All of our animals come with health records and are dewormed, have age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped, all cats are FIV/FeLV tested, and all dogs over 6 months are heartworm tested.
In order to be considered as an adopter you must:
* Be 21 years of age or older
* Have identification showing your present address
* Agree to a home check
* Be able and willing to provide a loving, safe and peaceful environment for this pet
* Be financially stable and willing to provide any necessary medical care
Once you have filled out an application, your application will be reviewed. If approved, we will contact you to schedule a meet and greet and home check via the email address provided.
