My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to YINNIE, a shiny black female tuxedo cat with bright green eyes and four white paws!  She adores scratches under her chin and on her back.  If you pet down her back, she will raise her bottom up as high as she can go, onto her little tippie toes.  She loves playing with wand toys and chasing them through the air.  She also enjoys cat track balls, and catnip toys – she may have a little bit of a catnip habit that her new home will have to support.  She is a little shy at first, but she is well worth the time it takes to warm up.  Once she’s warmed up, if you tickle her back paws, she’ll stretch out her little toes as far as they will go in the most adorable way. She came to our rescue pregnant and had four kittens in her loving foster home.  All her kittens have found homes, and it’s time for Yinnie to find a patient and loving home for her to get some well-deserved rest, play, and love.  She has lots of love to give, and just needs a little bit of time to warm up and she will be a perfect addition to any home!

Yinnie has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet YINNIE at the Cat Lounge, please fill out an Adoption Application for consideration at catrescues.org/adopt, and an adoption counselor will contact you for a possible meet-and-greet at the Eugene Springfield Cat Lounge, 537 W. Centennial Blvd., Springfield.  The $155 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. It is available on our website: https://catrescues.org/forms/cat-adoption-contract/ A paper copy is available at our adoption sites. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
