Hi! My name is Ximena (my foster parents call me Mina, Mina Mina Piccolina, or just Pico) and I’ve been with CARE for almost a year, and with my foster family for 9 months. In that time I’ve only had one application. I’m about 18 months old and when I came to my foster home I was terrified of everything but now I am so much better! I can still be a bit timid and shy with new people, but once I warm up I am friendly, playful, sweet and full of purrs. The only time I’ve ever even hissed at someone is when my foster mom accidentally stepped on my tail. Ouch!
I love finding cozy places to sleep, playing with my toys, eating treats and Churus, watching cat tv, snuggling on the bed at night, looking out the window at the birds and squirrels, laying in the sun, and getting scritches. I am friendly with other cats (in fact I think a cat sibling would be loads of fun) and the time we had dogs in the house I just avoided them.
I am still not sure about being picked up but I am learning to be brave and tolerate it. I will sit in your lap but prefer to do so on my terms. I am really hoping to settle into my forever home soon. Would you consider giving me a chance? I’ve made so much progress and I’m learning to trust humans more every day. We could be besties, I know it!
