Hi, I’m Trinket and I’m a little baby bat cat. Yep, you read that right. I’m part cat, part bat! Let me explain how…
First of all, you see my appearance. Silky black fur, gorgeous green eyes, big goofy ears, and claws that say “don’t mess with me”. But I’m actually really nice! Just like a bat!!
Ok so I don’t only look like a (beautiful, might I say?) bat, but did you know I’m an excellent echolocator? That’s how bats communicate! I think I’m doing a real good job, because I love to meow meow meowwww! I always say hi with a big meow when you come in. I also LOVE being upside down. After I greet you with my echolocator meow, I will flop onto my back and show you my chin. I loveeeeeee being pet on my chin and forehead!
I love to lay and cuddle, but I’m also playful. Just like a bat, I’m an excellent hunter. Butterflies, wand toy, crinkly ball, stuffed animal… I can catch them all!!! I like to pounce and then carry it around in my mouth.
I really like to crawl up onto my foster parent’s lap and hang between her knees like a bat while she rubs my chin. I would really love for my new family to hangout with me on the couch a lot!! I can sometimes be shy at the beginning, and I’ve been through a lot since I was found with a painful abscess above my eye. I’m looking for a cozy forever home with older children who understand I may run away if you’re too loud. I would probably be ok with a calm dog.
Although you shouldn’t pet bats, you can pet me! I am spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea treated, and have tested negative for FIV/FeLV. I’m a little over 2 years old and have so much love, chattiness, and silly antics to bring to your home. If you wish you could have a pet bat but can settle for a bat cat instead, apply for Trinket today!

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.
2.
Approve Application
We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.
3.
Interview
We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.
4.
Meet the Pet
Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!
6.

7.
Take the Pet Home
Additional adoption info
We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
