We adopted Ripley from the pound about 6 months ago. She is about 18 months old. She a small, portable dog at 35lbs- can be a running or hiking partner! She is sweet and playful and loves all dogs. She has never been around a cat but has a prey drive with chickens. She is house trained and kennel trained and does great sleeping in bed with you at night. She does not have great house manners (i.e. getting into garbage and chewing toys) so you may want to kennel her while you’re away from home- but she is willing to go anywhere with you- loves car rides. She does not seem to like men. She will growl/bark at men and resource guard children and women around men. She has never bitten anyone- her behavior is clearly fear based. She has likely experienced abuse or witnessed household members be abused. She would do very well with a single woman or where a man will have a lot of patience and dedication to earn her trust. She will be your shadow.
