Dean recently had a day out to the park with one of our volunteers and here's how it went:
Meet Dean, James Dean. Just kidding, it’s just Dean. However this guy is a heartthrob ?. Dean is a sweet dog that does well with people and other dogs. I had the pleasure of taking Dean out for an afternoon. At our first stop, we encountered one of my neighbors with their dog. Dean did amazing! He went over to sniff, was wagging his tail and even knew to back away when the other dog growled (it was older and was upset about not going on its potty walk). Dean said hello to both the man and women walking their dog and had no issues with either gender. I had other friends walk to the car and say hello and were able to love on him as well.
We then went to a park that had little kids ridding bikes and rollerblading past us. While the “wheels” were scary, we just moved out of the way and kept a curious eye until they were a safe distance away. Dean seemed to settle more at the end and started demanding a lot more attention, including forcing pets by rubbing up against my hand if I got distracted, which of course I apologized for. I got a ton of kisses during this time and saw him attempt to play with a ball, although he seemed a bit unsure what to do with it. He concluded the day by eating about half a bag of pup-peroni, which might be the fastest way to this dog’s heart.
Dean is a sweet dog that let his kind nature shine thought out the whole day with every person and dog he met. He will make an amazing companion and friend, whose love for you will only rank behind his love of pup-peroni.
