My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Luke and Leia are a pair of sweet seniors looking for a loving forever home. They will need a rabbit-savvy calm owner who will be mindful and attentive to their special needs.

Luke is a gentle giant who is pretty laid back while his bondmate Leia is sweet but can be a little opinionated at times. She is just a sensitive girl and needs a quiet, calm home and owner who can give her the time she needs to adjust. She will need a hidey box and a variety of toys to keep her entertained. They enjoy being pet, snuggling together and groom each other often and have a very special bond.

Luke's litter box skills are a work in progress and he'll need an owner willing to clean his box and tidy up the area daily. Leia's litter box habits are very good so hopefully in time Luke will follow her lead!

Luke has cataracts, dental issues and is on meds for arthritis and occasionally will need help cleaning his ears.

They have good appetites and are good hay eaters, but they prefer softer hay likely due to dental issues (Soft Orchard Grass and Soft Timothy).

Luke and Leia are a loving happy couple accustomed to a very quiet, and stress-free environment.

Can you provide the necessary care, love and attention to ensure a happy and healthy life for them to live out their golden years?

To rescue homeless rabbits and find them good indoor homes and also
to educate the public about rabbits and their care. These activities may include:
• providing foster care for discarded domestic rabbits and arranging for adoption to permanent indoor homes;

• assisting humane societies and shelters with rabbits;

• providing spay/neuter surgery and veterinary care through arrangements with area practitioners;

• rehabilitating and socializing mistreated or neglected animals;

• permanently caring for animals who cannot be placed in adoptive homes due to serious health or behavioral problems; and

• educating the public on responsible pet ownership and humane practices.
