My little life had a rough beginning but thanks to some wonderful people that gave me the best care I am feeling fantastic! Woody was a very important part of my recovery process. When I was sick, there were a lot of times that I didn’t have the energy to run around and play so Woody would snuggle with me in our heated cat bed. He is such a great big brother and I couldn’t imagine my life without him.
I am so happy to be feeling better that I am enjoying life as much as possible. I have a very large extended cat family, and I am very comfortable around cats of all sizes, shapes and colors. Heck, I might even get along with a doggo friend……but my brother might have something to say about that. We have never been around dogs so that would be a new experience for us.
One thing that you should know about my brother and I is that we purr all the time, and it can be loud at times. Our purring can be soothing, especially if you are having a bad day and need to relax…we will purr your stress away. That’s called “purr therapy” and Woody and I are experts.
Woody probably didn’t mention this in his bio but he can be a spaz at times. Like “wow” where did you get all of that energy come from dude?? His day revolves around play time, but he also likes people snuggles when I am willing to share my person with him. We are not high maintenance boys. We enjoy good food and snacks; we love to play and watch TV; we enjoy taking cat napes in the sun and we love spending time with people. Oh yeah, we also like climbing tall cat trees. Those things are great!
I could go on and on about myself but meeting me and my brother will really give you an idea if you think we would be a good fit to join your family. Woody and I are bonded brothers, so we need to share a family. In return, we will make you smile and keep you entertained. Just think of us as a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.
****HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS****
***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:***
***Complete Information
You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care!
No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision.
***Private, quiet meet & greets
You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens.
***Quality over Quantity
We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other.
***Veterinary Care
We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens.
***Food
Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We ‘ve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us.
***Resident Pet/Child Safety
While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us.
***Post Adoption Support
It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters.

*****ADOPTION PROCESS:*****
APPLICATION:
Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs. if we think it's a potentially good match.
INTERVIEW:
An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time.
APPROVAL:
If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files.
TIME FRAME:
Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days.
WHY:
Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you!
