Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Bonnie, a vibrant 2-year-old who's ready to shine! This 20 lbs., spayed and up-to-date pup is looking for a forever home where she can enjoy her favorite pastimes: sunbathing and taking leisurely strolls. While she can be a bit mischievous at times, getting stickers on her paws and coat from wandering into dry grass, she's eager to find a family who will love and support her. Bonnie's not a fan of empty snack bags or bedtime, but with patience and love, she's sure to thrive.
If you're interested in adopting this lovable pup, contact info@kenmarrescue.org with "Bonnie Adoption" in the subject line.

A note from Bonnie to you:
Ever wonder what it’s like to call a place home? I mean, an actual place where you can completely relax, let your guard down and know you’re safe?
Well I guess I didn’t know that feeling before I was rescued by KenMar Rescue.
Early in 2025, I was spotted stray by a Good Samaritan. This person called the local animal control center and a representative got me off the streets and brought me into the shelter.
Days went by and no one came for me and, because I didn’t have a microchip at that time, there was no way to trace where I’d come from.
A few weeks went by and I gave birth to a single pup. Sadly I will never know what happened to my offspring as the puppy was adopted out shortly after being born.
When my time was up at the shelter and I was available to be rescued, KenMar Rescue drove two hours each way to be the bridge to a better life.
I enjoy my life at the rescue. Plenty to eat, safety and playtime are parts of my life now.
I am missing something though, and that is a forever family.
A family that will take me on long hikes, adventures, walks in the sunshine and best of all, love me until the day I die.
Are you my family?

Google picture recognition says Bonnie’s breed blend is a Kooikerhondje.
WOW! How do you pronounce Kooikerhondje?
Many say her face and gentle demeanor is pure Papillon on a very sleek, long-legged,
elegant and athletic Spaniel body.
What WE know Bonnie is for sure:
Bonnie is sweet, active and gentle. She would make a great candidate for any loving home.
Curious about everything, she enjoys long walks in cool weather and snuggles.
Bonnie enjoys playing with gentle dogs and meeting new humans who become fast friends.
Bonnie is in foster care and it may take her a few weeks to get acclimated into a new home’s layout and routine, but she will do her best if given an honest and generous chance.
Like all creatures great and small, Bonnie thrives with positive reinforcement.
Thanks for checking out Bonnie’s profile and submitting an adoption application.
