My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Valerie – The Sweetest Girl Who Deserves a True Forever Home

Valerie is a 2-3 year-old Staffordshire Terrier who weighs about 50 lbs. She was rescued from West Valley Animal Shelter, pulled from the euthanasia list just in time. Despite everything she’s endured, Valerie is incredibly sweet, loving, and full of personality—her foster even says “Valerie talks to you!” Whether she’s asking for her toy or just wants your attention, she’ll let you know with her signature charm.

✨ Valerie’s Personality:

  • Super affectionate and people-loving

  • Good with other dogs

  • Spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped

  • Great communicator—she'll "talk" to you!

  • Described by all who meet her as “The Sweetest Dog”

Valerie’s journey has been heartbreaking. She was adopted by someone who traveled from Oregon to California just to bring her home. For eight months, we received nothing but happy updates, photos, and videos—she was going on pack walks, making people smile, and thriving.

But then, everything changed.

Out of nowhere, Valerie’s adopter called animal control to surrender her. According to the adopter, there was an altercation between two dogs—her existing dog and another. Someone was bitten, and Valerie was put in a room while animal control was called on her. Despite no clear evidence that Valerie was involved, she was picked up and placed in a shelter again.

Thankfully, a foster in Oregon stepped up to pull Valerie out before she was euthanized. They adored her, but unfortunately, their dog didn’t get along with Valerie, so she is now back in California with the rescue.

We made Valerie a promise:
Never again will she be abandoned. Never again will she be failed.

Now, we’re looking for the best forever home—one that will love, protect, and commit to her for life.

Valerie is available for adoption. We are specifically seeking:

  • An experienced Staffordshire Terrier owner (current or past)

  • A family or individual committed to loving her unconditionally

  • A stable, forever home—no more temporary stops

 Interested?
Please contact the rescue to submit an application. If approved, we will arrange a meet and greet with Valerie.

She’s been through so much, but she still loves deeply and gives her heart freely. Let’s make sure Valerie finally gets the home she’s always deserved.

Go meet their pets

Most of my pets are with the foster in Tijuana ( Mexico). I have 1-2 fosters in USA but they have been busy lately. If anyone is interested in adopting one of my rescue dogs they get transported to San Diego and I pick them up and take them to their new owner and they get adopted. I haven't had an adoption event yet but if I do in the future will be at Pet Food Express because I am a rescue partner with them.
I also had some puppies rescued within California

More about this rescue

I fostered for a rescue for about a year. 4 of my rescue puppies( siblings) had Parvo and one didn't make it and rest ended up in the hospital. After being treated and survived Parvo they came back to me to foster them for 2 weeks before adoption. I ended up adopting one of the puppies ( foster fail) and I opened my rescue because of him and he is my rescue logo too.I want to save dogs and treat them and give them a forever home. Give them a second chance same way my foster fail had a second chance of living.
