FOR ADOPTION: COLIN is a super sweet and cuddly approximately 5 year old male looking for a forever family that will treasure him. This handsome devil was rescued by a local RCMP officer after she heard of a cat brutally attacked by dogs in one of the remote communities she works in. After ensuring we had room the RCMP officer set off on a long drive to grab this sweet boy and bring him directly to the vet clinic. Colin’s entire groin area was an open wound but luckily that was the worst of his injuries. Even in a brand new environment, with a massive wound, Colin was the sweetest and most cuddly boy around. He is now all healed up from his attack and doing well. He will need to be monitored for signs of arthritis as he ages but for now Colin is ready to start the next chapter of his storey. The chapter where he finds unconditional love and safety. Colin is friendly and affectionate with everyone he meets including men and children. Colin gets along very well with the other calm, mature cats at the shelter and is happy to spend time with young kittens. He is not one that enjoys rowdy play and wrestling while out with the other cats though. Despite being attacked Colin does not seem to have a grudge against dogs in general and he could live with a respectful and gentle canine going forward. Colin has spent the majority of his life either completely outdoors or indoor/outdoor but he has taken fantastically to being indoor only at the shelter. He could move forward either completely indoors or indoor/outdoor in a safe environment. Colin is now neutered, vaccinated and up to date on parasite control.
