Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Say hello to Mr. Monty! This big, handsome guy has been at FDHS for several months now. He has been patiently waiting for the right person to give him a chance. Monty did not have the best start in this world and doesn’t really know how to “dog”. He has come such a long way from the terrified puppy that arrived on our doorstep. But he still has a long way to go.
A while ago he tried a home with a busy family and bonded closely with the mom and older daughter, proving just how sweet he can be. Unfortunately, the younger children in the home made him really uneasy and he was not an ideal fit for their home. Monty does best in a calm, quieter home with adults or older kids, and someone who has experience with rescue cases like Monty.
Monty enjoys a fenced yard or tie-out, and is curious about other dogs—introductions just need to be slow and supervised.
This sweet angel has spent SO much time in a shelter and is ready for new beginnings. He’s a good boy and he deserves it.
**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 55 lbs**
