Meet Rowdy, our resident silver fox. Who could resist those big brown eyes and that distinguished frosted face? This charmer steals the heart of everyone he meets with his enthusiastic tail wags and gentle personality.
His foster mom reports that he is the easiest dog ever; he is already potty trained, crate trained and he is happy with a few easy strolls a day. He would do anything to get belly rubs and has on occasion fallen off the couch in excitement from receiving one (embarrassing, we know.)
He's also a certified couch potato and loves to lounge in a comfy spot. Is it dark outside? Well, it's his bedtime folks. If that means his bedtime is 5 o'clock in winter, so be it! Rowdy loves people and has done wonderfully with kids of all ages. He's recently started training for the first time and quickly has mastered sit and down. Who says old dogs can't learn new tricks?
Rowdy would do best as the only animal in the home. No dogs, no cats-just you. After all he's been through, he deserves a peaceful life with someone who'll see what a steady, loyal fella he really is. He's waited long enough.
He is heartworm positive, but heartworms are treatable, not contagious, and thanks to Friends of Wake County Animal Center, he comes with a $1,000 sponsorship to help with treatment costs. If you have room in your life for this gentle and affectionate senior, please contact his foster family at the email address aliqzwishes@gmail.com with the subject line: "Rowdy 257754"
Primary Color: Black Weight: 66 Age: 7yrs 9mths 3wks
